Aldec Teams with Summit Design to offer Riviera-Elite, a complete Multi-Platform ASIC Design and Verification Environment

Henderson Nevada, June 3rd, 2002 - Aldec, Inc., and Summit Design Inc., announced today a strategic partnership to simplify the design and verification process of today’s most complex system-on-chip (SoC) designs. The partnership will offer an integrated Riviera-Elite product providing designers with a complete HDL design entry and verification environment.

Strategic Partnership
The synergy between the two companies and the need to satisfy market demand is what makes Riviera-Elite an ideal solution. As advanced methodologies are blurring the lines between design and verification, Aldec and Summit are committed to providing the highest performance design and verification environment to meet these demands. The strategic partnership will also focus on continued product development of Electronic System Level (ESL) solutions utilizing high-level language such as C and hardware prototyping.

Riviera Mixed VHDL/Verilog Simulator
Riviera is a high performance common kernel VHDL and Verilog simulator. For designers who are looking for a “best-in-class” product, Riviera is an ideal choice for team-based design methodology and long regression testing. The Riviera environment is modular and the tools can be used as stand-alone applications or one integrated solution.
